Two-Way Conversation

Two people, two languages, one phone.

What it does

Two-Way Conversation lets two people who speak different languages talk through a single phone. The app separates the back-and-forth, labels each side, and shows each person their own language.

When to use it

Use it for a face-to-face conversation across a language barrier — a customer, a patient, a traveler asking for directions, or a neighbor.

Step by step

  1. Choose Two-Way Conversation.
  2. Set the two languages — one for each speaker.
  3. Place the phone between you so it can hear both voices.
  4. Take turns speaking. The app separates each side and translates it.
  5. Read the running, labeled transcript, and export or clear it when you are done.

Good to know

Two-Way Conversation needs an internet connection — live audio goes to our speech-to-text provider for transcription. Your transcripts stay on your device, and recording is optional and local.
